These indulgent fried chicken sandwiches are perfect for those cheat days when you crave something savory and satisfying. With crispy fried chicken, fresh veggies, and creamy mayo, they're sure to hit the spot.
Ingredients:
- 5 chicken breast fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 10 slices of your favorite sandwich bread
- Mayonnaise
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Pickles
Instructions:
In a shallow dish, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
In another dish, whisk together buttermilk and eggs
Dip each chicken fillet in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat
Fry chicken fillets until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side
Remove chicken from oil and let drain on paper towels
Toast sandwich bread slices
Spread mayonnaise on each slice of bread
