Copycat White Castle Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef 80% lean
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices American cheese
- 16 small slider buns
- Dill pickle slices optional
- Mustard and ketchup optional
Instructions:
In a skillet over medium heat, add the finely chopped onion and beef broth
Cook until the onion is translucent and the broth has mostly evaporated, about 5-7 minutes
Add the ground beef to the skillet and break it up into small pieces with a spatula
Season with salt and black pepper
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully cooked and browned
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
On a baking sheet, place the bottom halves of the slider buns
Top each with a portion of the cooked beef mixture
Place a slice of American cheese on top of the beef
Place the top halves of the slider buns on top of the cheese and beef to make sandwiches
Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, and the sliders are heated through
Serve your Copycat White Castle Burgers with dill pickle slices, and optionally, mustard and ketchup
