Vegan French Onion Dip

This Vegan French Onion Dip is a creamy and flavorful alternative to the classic dip. Made with caramelized onions, cashews, and savory seasonings, it's perfect for parties, game nights, or anytime you're craving a delicious snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw cashews, soaked in water for 4 hours, then drained
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives, for garnish

Instructions:

The cashews should be soaked first

Add 1/2 cup of water to a blender and blend until smooth

Put away

Set a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil

After you add the sliced onions, cook, stirring every now and then, for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the onions are caramelized and golden brown

To the pan, add minced garlic and cook for two more minutes

Add the garlic and onions that have been caramelized to the blender with the cashew mixture

To the blender, add salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, soy sauce, and food yeast

Blend until everything is smooth and well mixed

Put the dip in a bowl, top it with chopped chives, and serve it with your favorite chips or vegetable sticks

Have fun!
