Deep Fried Mac and Cheese Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup macaroni and cheese cooked and chilled
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Sliced red onion
- Sliced pickles
- Ketchup and mustard for condiments
Instructions:
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape it into four burger patties
Preheat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C
Take the chilled macaroni and cheese and shape it into four patties as well, matching the size of the burger patties
Dredge each mac and cheese patty in flour, dip it in beaten eggs, and coat it with breadcrumbs, ensuring an even and thick coating
Carefully place the mac and cheese patties into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes
Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels
In the same oil, fry the burger patties until they reach your desired level of doneness, usually 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare
Assemble your burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a burger patty, a deep-fried mac and cheese patty, tomato slices, sliced red onion, and pickles
Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of the buns and place them on top of the assembled burger
Serve your Deep Fried Mac and Cheese Burger immediately, and enjoy the deliciousness!
